York is a city and county in the South Central part of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (
Map), a mid-Atlantic state in the United States of America ( USA Map). It is located on Interstate I-83 and is about 15 miles south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 18. York is on the Lincoln Highway ( Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor) which
is today US Route 30.
York is 30 miles east of
miles west, across the Susquehanna River, from
Lancaster County and the Pennsylvania Dutch Country,
